If today I plunge into the sea of this unclean fight, I will stake my life and heart on this fearless face Until the day I wake and kiss the soil, The day I become a thorn in Zahhak’s eye. I will embrace everyone who sees me that day And kiss their clear eyes with all my heart. I will dance by the river in Shemiran when the Shah of my Iran Has returned, and I will seal every doubter’s lips with love. Long live the Shah.
