And I will no longer fix my eyes on the horizon of wishes… My hand will no longer turn prayer beads in hopes of a cure… I will no longer keep silent when I am humiliated in the name of modesty… I will no longer be thrilled just to breathe without permission, at the price of a visa stamped with farewell… Life cannot be without cries for justice, but I will no longer bow my head and forget my own demand for it… I will no longer have to seek refuge beneath the Caspian Sea to dance in the rain… No, don’t misunderstand me… I have not lost my life… I am alive, but I have shed the chains of fear… I have found the road to freedom… Now I know… Long live Iran. Long live the Shah.
