The house had no father while the nation slept… The father was there, but the nation slept… However often he said, “My people, dawn is near,” The nation, in pain and sorrow, could not rest… In the darkness of night, those with marks on their foreheads plundered the land; No earth remained for planting, no water for the wetlands… My fellow Iranian, my friend, a piece of my own flesh, I speak to you, from Rasht and Zahedan to Chalab… Today, this moment, when all of us have awakened, Let us not look away and later say, “What a precious moment that was…” Khan Dadash 20 Mehr 2583, Imperial Calendar Long live Iran. Long live the Shah.
