May the King of My Heart Come Home

Until yesterday, if I breathed in the silence of my grief without a cry, if snow's whiteness and the scent of orange blossom meant nothing to me, if I lived my waking hours only to fall asleep, if no door opened along the alleys of my heart, it was because the king of my heart was no longer home. But today the world smells different. Today the streets are lit by the fires of my country's soldiers. No door is shut, for the people of my land have seen what I have awaited for years. Now my people call out: 'My king, come home.' Today the world is no longer dark to me. Today my cry is no longer soundless. Whether this story ends soon or far from now, my heart is steady. I gave it to my country. Today I fight for a child who will make a little snowman without fear or pain, and whose smile will be real. Long live Iran. #جاویدشاه
