I want an Iranian young person's greatest worry to be finding the right provisions for life aboard an Iranian space station on Mars, not reciting prayers and paying religious dues in the hope that a landlord will not evict them after months of unpaid rent. I want them to pursue cancer treatments through stem-cell and genetic research, not worry about the going price of a kidney or taxes that serve the Islamic Republic rather than the Iranian people. I want them to choose where to take a family holiday, not search for a pilgrimage package to Karbala or Mashhad that offers a free lunch and dinner. I want them to invest in reputable Iranian and international companies, not depend on usurious loans or a holiday handout from some haji or sayyid. I want them to learn so they can reach their own great ambitions, not memorize the wills of the corrupt just to pass an exam for a low-level government job handed around among the relatives of freeloaders. I want our aim to be building a life for others, not fighting so hard merely to stay alive. And now you ask why I am fighting for the return of the Pahlavi monarchy to Iran? Long live Iran. #جاویدشاه
