Remember: I will not pray for my country's freedom.
I will not beg for my people to be allowed to breathe.
I read and learn, because today's darkness grew out of the ignorance and superstition of earlier generations.
I will brighten my country's tomorrow with the light of knowledge and a call to action.
Because I am not Muslim, not religious, and not superstitious.
Because I am Iranian.
Long live Iran.
