I don’t know whether everything I do will matter in the end. I don’t even know whether it has any effect on our revolution or Iran’s tomorrow. We don’t know if tomorrow, or the next generation, anyone will remember us or what we are doing today. But I do know this: what truly matters to me today is standing with you patriots, who fight for our homeland shoulder to shoulder with me, or miles ahead of me. Today, there is more honor in you and your efforts than in anything we lost yesterday. Because in tomorrow’s history books of Iran, they will write: “Iranians joined hands, freed Iran, and brought their king home.” P.S. I was in tears as I wrote this tweet, knowing I am no longer alone, and that the decency of all Iran stands with me. Long live the Shah.
