I miss the backstreets of my city. The narrow lanes with a water channel down the middle and yellow autumn leaves. I miss the warmth of our neighbors, my grandmother, her red basket full of fruit. I even miss the swish of the city cleaner's broom. I remember Grandmother always leaving a tray of tea and sugar cubes for him on the ledge by the front mat. I want my country back. I want it free. I long for my king, Reza Shah, and for the dignity and respect Iranians deserve. People of my country, you promised to stand beside me until the day of freedom. Please do not take that hope from me. Long live Iran. #جاویدشاه
